On the 6th and 7th of June 2009, we are organizing the Start-Up Meeting of
DISCHARGE-1 (Depolarisations in ISCHaemia after subARachnoid haemorrhaGE-1) and the 2nd Imaging Meeting of the COSBID study group (www.cosbid.org) at the Center for Stroke Research Berlin. DISCHARGE-1 is the aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) substudy of the COSBID study group. The primary objective of this translational, DFG-funded, multicentre trial is whether the recording of spreading depolarizations in patients with aSAH allows an online diagnosis of the development of delayed ischaemic stroke at the bedside using invasive electrocorticography and serial MR-imaging. There is a wide range of modules that are nested in this investigator-initiated trial which we hope will be of interest for neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurointensivists and basic scientists in the field of stroke research, neuroimaging, neuroprotection and signal processing. We would like to cordially invite you to this meeting.
